Though the Long County High School varsity football team had last week off from game action, the junior-varsity squad traveled to Reidsville on Thursday but lost to Tattnall County, 42-14.
The underclassmen from Ludowici fell behind, 20-0, at the half.
This week, the JV plays its first home game, taking on Brantley County at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The varsity team also plays at home this week when Metter comes to town at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A preview on that game will be in Friday’s Courier.
