The Bradwell Institute boys and girls will play for the Region 1-AAAAA basketball championships Saturday at Liberty County High School.
The Lady Tigers, ranked No. 4 in the state, downed Statesboro 50-37 Thursday night in the semifinals. Taniyah Bowman led the way with 20 points, while Parris Parham scored 14 and Bailey Gilmore added 11.
Bowman was 4-of-6 from 3-point range and had eight steals.
The Lady Tigers will play Ware County at 4 p.m.
The boys got into the region title game with a 63-58 overtime win over Statesboro.
Tahshaun Frasier had 23 points to go with five assists and six steals, Elyjah Thurmon recorded another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Perry added 10 points.
The BI boys will face Coffee at 5:30 p.m.
