Brantley hands Liberty a loss on Senior Night

Liberty County took a 19-4 loss on Senior Night against the Brantley County Herons on Sept. 19.

The Lady Herons came out of the gate strong, scoring four runs in during the first inning, one in the second, one in the third inning, six in the fourth inning, and seven in the fifth, trying to close out the game.

The Panthers’ bats started rolling in the third inning, when they scored one run and closed it out in the bottom of the fifth with three runs.

Hayden Roudebush led the lady Panthers with two RBI’s, Deana Gumataotao also had one RBI.

Meanwhile, Candice Blitch went 2 for 3, Deana Gumataotao went 1 for 2, and Melaina Davis, Madison Winn and Ryan Alexander all went 1 for 3.

Alexis Barnes had an outstanding game in the field with seven putouts. Winn took the loss on the mound with two putouts.
