Former Bradwell Institute sprinter Quintunya Chapman placed second in the pentathlon Jan. 23 for Georgia at the McCravy Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky, according to a news release on UGA’s athletic website.
Chapman, who is entering her second year in the multi-events category, scored a personal-best 4,257 points, which ranks fourth in school history, thanks in part to three consecutive personal records.
Chapman’s teammate, sophomore Kendell Williams, scored the second-highest pentathlon total in collegiate history — 4,609 points — to earn first place.
They were scheduled to compete last weekend at the Camel City Elite in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
