Chick-Fil-A to host ‘Border War’ for Long/Bradwell Game
football

The Long County Blue Tide and Bradwell Institute Tigers football teams will face off against each other at Olvey Field on Friday, September 27. To get in on the fun of this next-county rivalry, Chick-Fil-A in Hinesville is going to host a Border War.

This friendly competition will include a chicken nugget eating contest and lemon squeezing contest between Long County and Bradwell football players on Thursday. There will also be a weekly competition for customers.

When ordering, customers will be able to choose between two boxes to put their receipts in: one that says “Long County” and one that says “Bradwell.” Whichever school receives the most receipts by Thursday will receive a check for $1000 at Friday’s game.

The school that ends up finishing in second will still receive a $500 check. The Chick-Fil-A store will also be decked out in Long County and Bradwell colors all week as both schools’ cheerleaders will help decorate the restaurant.

The game between Bradwell and Long County will take place at Olvey Field at Hokey Jackson Stadium on Friday, September 27 with a kickoff time of 7:30 p.m.
