First Presbyterian Christian Academy hosted David Emanuel Academy on April 2 and played at Citizens Christian Academy on Tuesday, losing both.
But Friday, FPCA (4-5 overall, 3-2 in region 2-AA) bounced back with a 13-2 win at Memorial Day.
On April 2, the visiting David Emanuel Eagles showed why they are the region threat this season by giving the Highlanders a tough challenge.
FPCA stayed toe to toe with the Eagles, but DEA edged out an 8-5 win.
Against the Citizen Christian Patriots on Tuesday in Douglas, FPCA took a tough 3-2 loss. Highlander Jarred Wells pitched a complete game, head coach Ryan Harmon said.
Harmon said his team had a big region win Friday afternoon at Memorial Day in a game that went only five innings for the FPCA win.
“Isaiah Dickey, James Arnold and Kyle Hill all had multiple hits in the game,” Harmon said. “K’ane Nunn pitched five strong innings, only allowing two unearned runs.”
FPCA will play Tuesday in Stillmore in what Harmon called a pivotal game against David Emanuel.
