Former Faith Baptist Christian Academy player JJ Frazier, a Glennville native, had a huge game for the Georgia Bulldogs Saturday.

Frazier scored a game-high 35 points in UGA’s 75-61 win over rival Georgia Tech.

He shot 9 for 14 from the field and 6 for 9 from the three-point range, according to a press release on UGA’s athletic website, georgiadogs.com.

Frazier said, “This game is very important to us. Georgia Tech is a really experienced and well organized team. From the jump, I just wanted to be an emotional leader to help our guys understand for 40 minutes we had to play hard and we had to play together, and that’s what we did.”

The release reported that Frazier made 11 of 12 free throws. He went into the game averaging 13.3 points per game.
