Golf tourney to benefit local cancer patient

The Jay Smiley Memorial Golf Tournament will be held April 16 at the Cherokee Rose Golf Club.

This year, proceeds from the tournament will go to Valerie Gosseck. Gosseck, who is employed at the Hinesville Wal-Mart and married to Hinesville police Officer Mike Gosseck, is battling cancer.
