Bradwell Institute’s longest road trip of the season was an even longer drive back, after a pair of losses to Greenbrier.
The Lady Wolfpack edged the Lady Tigers in overtime, 59-56, handing Bradwell its first region loss, and the Wolfpack boys outlasted the Tigers 70-65.
Elyjah Thurmon recorded another double-double in the loss, scoring 20 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Tahshaun Frasier had 14 points and four assists, and Christopher Perry scored 11 points.
The Tigers were just 2-of-12 from 3-point range.
The boys fell to 10-7 on the season and 3-3 in Region 1-AAAAA.
Taniyah Bowman led the Lady Tigers with 24 points, and Parris Parham chipped in 17 as the girls dropped a back-and-forth affair. Bailey Gilmore scored nine points and collected 11 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers went just 8-of-18 from the free throw line.
Bradwell slipped to 15-3 overall and 5-1 in the region.
Bradwell will host Ware County on Tuesday and Greenbrier on Friday, with Tuesday’s game at Liberty County High School and Friday’s games at Midway Middle School.
