Off to a 1-1 start, the First Presbyterian Christian Academy Highlanders will host Hilton Head Christian Academy Friday at Long Bell Stadium.
Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
The Highlanders started the season Aug. 12 with a loss at Westwood. But they opened their home stand with a 26-20 win over Greater Bethlehem Temple last week.

Last week’s win was the earliest victory FPCA has brought to the program in its five-year history.
The Highlanders forced key fumbles and recoveries, providing the offense with opportunities to come from behind, score and win.

This week, the Highlanders will need to be just as strong. The Eagles come in with a 1-0 record after beating John Paul 26-21 last week. The Eagles are nationally ranked more than 200 spots above the Highlanders and can run the ball well.
The Hilton Head team also plays ironman football as they carry a roster of 21 players.
Last week, Zacharia Doe rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns. James Bartholomew was the Eagles’ main receiver with three receptions for 59 yards.

Bartholomew also led the Eagles in total tackles last week with eight.
The gridiron fight will test the Highlanders who still play without their key back, Jamison Golson.

Expect another big night from FPCA senior George Mitchell who scored twice last week. Also expected to keep things moving for FPCA are quarterback Steven Young, Khalyn Weekley and running back Sensier Carnes. Defensively, the Highlanders will need the continued dominance of Nasmeek Murphy, Brantley McKorkle, Austin Hendrix Jordan Gilliard and the front defensive line.
