The Long County Blue Tide will be the only team in the Hinesville-Ludowici area competing on the football field Friday once again.

Liberty County and Bradwell Institute are still under quarantine restrictions so will not be competing for the next two weeks.

The Blue Tide are coming off a win for the first time since 2019, snapping their 18-game losing streak.

They would defeat Bacon County 44-29.

On Friday, they will head to Folkston to face the Charlton County Indians.

The two teams would last face off a season ago where the Indians defeated the Blue Tide 54-23.

The Blue Tide are 0-7 against the Indians all time.

So, the team will be looking to make history at defeating them for the first time.

This contest will kick off at 7:30 at Indian Field on Sept. 3.
