Liberty County’s volleyball team is 23-12 overall and 10-5 in Region 2-AAA with only one game remaining for the year.
The Lady Panthers play Southeast Bulloch and Windsor Forest Tuesday at Southeast Bulloch.

Lady Panther volleyball coach Cintretta Lewis said her seniors nurtured growth on the team this season.
“They have stepped up to the plate immensely,” Lewis said, adding that improved the morale and play of her junior and sophomores as well.

Her senior players are Allayna Flanders, Jasmine Brooks, Alyisha Anderson and Arianna Force.
Lewis said her toughest opponents this year were Southeast Bulloch, Islands High and Savannah Arts Academy.

“A lot of their players play AAU volleyball so they play year round,” she said. “But we’ve handled the pressure… I think we can handle it a little bit better if we just play our style of ball.”
The Lady Panthers fell to Savannah Arts three times this season. They’ve lost twice to Southeast Bulloch so far. Islands won two and the Lady

Panthers defeated them just this past week in their third matchup of the year.
“At the beginning of the year our serves had me a little worried, but we’ve worked on a lot of serving drills the last couple of weeks and they’ve gotten a lot better,” the coach, noting the improvement is obvious.

This is Lewis’ second year as the head coach. Last year the Liberty girls were 4-11 overall.
