In what is now considered uncharacteristic, the Lady Panthers softball team dropped a game against Richmond Hill Thursday afternoon with a loss of 0-3.
According to head coach Jerome Standard, it was a lack of hits and a record-high 13 strikeouts against the Lady Panthers that cost them the game.
The normally hard hitting battery of the Lady Panthers were held to only two hits coming from Elyssa Lemapu.
Cassie Standard had a strong day at the mound throwing for seven strikeouts, allowing only two hits and walking four players. The Lady Panthers are 3-2 in the 3-AAA region and 9-5 overall.
They will host the South Effingham Mustangs for a 7 p.m. game Monday.
