Liberty Lady Mavericks jump start 2008 season

The Liberty Lady Mavericks AAU summer league basketball program starts their fourth season with 3 teams; 12U, 13U, and 15U.
The Lady Mavericks will participate in the Triple Threat Super Regional tournament in Jacksonville this weekend.
“This will be a very competitive event,” team director Shirley Howard said. “Our players have been practicing very hard the last few weeks and are ready for the challenge. We strive to prepare our players for upcoming challenges on and off the court. Discipline, dedication and teamwork are key elements for a successful season.”
The teams participating in the tourney are the 15U and 13U.  The first game starts tonight at 8 for the 13U and 9:15 p.m. for the 15U.
13U team players are Ree Ree Brewton, Lauren Butler, Tiara Howard, Tiffany Johnson Symone May, Courtney Rhodes, Kayla Rocker, Zia Sifford, Kami Small, Ashley Williams and Aaliyah Wilson.
15U team players are Terika Chipp, Myyah Gaines, LaNiqua Fowler, Alicia Jenkins, Ashley Johnson, Diamone Johnson, Sierra Kirkland, Erica McDade, and Britany Terrell.
Home base for the Lady Mavericks is St. James Sports Center in Midway.  They still need sponsors and anyone wishing to support the team should call Howard at (912) 980-4425, (912) 966-2653 or (912) 980-1401.
