The Bradwell Institute Tigers were in Charlton County on Saturday, where the BI boys fell, 6-3, to the Indians.

Jacob Dill gave up four earned runs and Mitch Rogers gave up one, BI coach Rhett Hellgren said.

But he added that Dill and Rogers gave a strong performance on the mound.

Dill pitched for five innings and suffered the loss, while Rogers relieved him for the final two innings.

Hellgren said the problem stemmed from offense.

"We only had four hits again and that was the reason we lost," Hellgren said. "We had our opportunities and just could not capitalize on them. We did better in the fact that we only had three strikeouts and five pop-ups, but we have to start hitting."

The Tigers are 1-2 overall and 1-0 in Region 3-AAAAA.

Tuesday’s game against Islands High School’s first-year program was the Tigers’ second region test of the season.

The game originally was scheduled to be an away game but was moved to Bradwell’s field.

"We have to put a complete game together and things will work out for the best," Hellgren said Tuesday morning. "We have a big region game tonight and all region games are important."
