According to Bradwell Institute’s girls’ soccer coach Scott Akin, the Groves High girls’ soccer team forfeited Friday’s final regular season game of the year.
Akin said his team didn’t qualify for the playoffs this year, but he was impressed with how well his predominantly young squad pushed hard throughout the season. Akin said the girls are already planning their workouts for the off season.
The Bradwell boys’ team also was scheduled to play Friday at Groves Friday, but there was no word from the coaching staff whether the game was called due to rain.
