The Hinesville Hurricanes will host the Jacksonville Blackhawks on Saturday in the first round of the Elite Football League playoffs.
The game is set to start at 3 p.m. at Long Bell Stadium in Hinesville.
The ’Canes defeated the Blackhawks twice in regular season play. If the ’Canes pull off another victory, they will advance to round two against the Commandos in Jacksonville.
Admission on Saturday is $5, and children 12 and under are free. Raffle tickets will be sold for prizes during halftime. Winners must be present to collect prizes.
A win against the Commandos would put the Hurricanes in the championship game scheduled for May 17 in Daytona Beach.
The championship is a double-header. At 2 p.m., the Elite Football League will have its all-star game, which will feature Hurricanes Tracy Lewis, Charles Crossley, Chauncey Crossley, Kenneth Rutherford, Adrian Smith, Alphonso Brewster, Gavin Whitfield, Jamie Sharp, Timothy Darden and Kenneth Bradger.
After the all-star game the players will prepare for the championship game. The $10 admission is good for both Daytona Beach games.
