Draft day nears for McRae, Brown
espn

ESPN will televise the 2014 NBA Draft beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, and the event could have some Liberty County presence.
Former Liberty County High School basketball players Jordan McRae and Rion Brown could be selected  Thursday. Both men have worked out with several NBA teams in the last few months. Three basketball writers on CBSsports.com — Zach Harper, Gary Parrish and Matt Moore — have McRae being selected in the final third of the second round. Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Monday that Brown is being looked at by some teams as a second-round prospect.
McRae recently completed his senior year at the University of Tennessee, where he was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference first-team pick. Brown finished up his career at the University of Miami by being named a third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference member.
It marks the 12th consecutive year ESPN has televised the event and the second-straight time it has been staged at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The draft also will be available on ESPN Radio and WatchESPN. Additionally, ESPN’s NBA Draft Preview Show will air at
7 tonight on ESPN2.
Rece Davis will host coverage from the ESPN main set with college-basketball insider Jay Bilas and analysts Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons.
ESPNU will televise its Draft Special from 4-5 p.m. today and Thursday. Additionally, the network will air ESPNU Draft Recap at midnight Thursday, following the NBA Draft.
