Georgia Southern football coach Willie Fritz has announced the dates for Eagle Invasion football evaluation camps in June and July.
Fritz and the Eagle coaching staff will direct the camps and provide college-level instruction with practices to emphasize the competitive physical and technical skills required for college student-athletes. The camps are open to rising ninth-12th graders. Cost is $40 per camper, which includes an evaluation and a T-shirt.
One final camp, the “Bash in the ’Boro,” will be held on July 18 at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro.
The seven dates and times for the evaluation camps are:
•Atlanta — 2-5 p.m., Monday, June 9, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian School; check-in at noon
• Stockbridge — 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at Stockbridge High School; check-in at 8 a.m.
•Warner Robins — 5-
8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at Warner Robins High School; check-in at 3 p.m.
• Valdosta — 10 a.m.-
1 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at Lowndes High School; check-in at 8 a.m.
• Kingsland — 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at Camden County High School; check-in at 3 p.m.
• Martinez — 2-5 p.m., Thursday, June 12, at Augusta Christian School; check-in at noon
• Statesboro — 12:30-3:30 p.m., Friday, July 18, at Paulson Stadium; check-in at 11 a.m.
A certified athletic trainer and assistants will be on duty full-time to supervise and attend to the needs of campers at each camp site. Additional camp information and online registration is available online at EagleInvasion.com. A PDF of the form also is available on the website to print and bring to camp check-in.
Each camper must provide a physical exam signed by a physician and dated within one year of the camp date and a front-and-back copy of a current health-insurance card. Each camper should bring cleats, tennis shoes, workout shorts, T-shirts, socks and jocks, personal towels and spending money as desired.
