Four Panthers place at state track meet

Four Liberty County High School track competitors earned top-12 placings during the first two days of the boys’ state track and field meet in Jefferson.
In results through Friday afternoon on gamilesplit.com, Freddie McSwain finished third in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet, 2-inches. Christian Helvie was ninth in the pole vault at 11-0. In the 1,600-meter run, Demetrius Anderson was 11th in 4 minutes, 36.21 seconds, while Khaleed Barrett was 12th in 4:37.16.
Bradwell Institute did not have any competitors in the early events.
The state meet was scheduled to run through Saturday. The meet was not completed at press time. Further results will be published later this week.
