Former Bradwell Institute, Georgia Tech and New England Patriot football player Gary Guyton will play in the Canadian football league, according to the Canadian Press.
A report released online on tsn.ca says Guyton signed a two-year deal with the Montreal Alouettes.
Alouettes general manager Jim Popp said in a news release, “Gary is a player who we have coveted for a few years. He brings versatility and the ability to play multiple positions at linebacker and at rush end.”
Guyton, who graduated from Bradwell in 2004, played four seasons with the New England Patriots from 2008 until 2011. He had 229 tackles and three interceptions over 60 games with the NFL club. He has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans.
