Long County High School will have its 2011 basketball homecoming ceremony Friday when the Brantley County Herons come to town.
There also will be a week full of activities.
Each day there will be a different theme and students will be allowed to show their support for the Blue Tide by dressing up.
Some of the slated themes this year will be Superhero Day, Twin Day and Blue & White Spirit Day on Friday.
There also will be a homecoming social Wednesday where each of the class representatives and their escorts will be able to mingle and show their spirit.
This year’s representatives are Zachery Golden, Vanda Vereen, and Nick Stock for the freshmen class, Luke Golden, Dalton Long, and Chris LaRochester for the sophomore class, and David Stewart, Gene Middleton, and Anthony Bright for the junior class.
The students who will be representing the seniors, and from whom the homecoming king will be selected, are Chris Stock, Jaylen Futch, Chuckie Futch, Dante Wright and Nick Moody. Crowning this year’s king will be 2010 LCHS Homecoming king Jake Durham.
"The faculty, staff, and students at Long County High School would like to congratulate these young men who were voted by their peers to represent their class in this year’s homecoming ceremony," English teacher Samantha Stanley said.
