Four Liberty County High School Lady Panthers were selected when softball coaches representing Region 3-AAAA met in Statesboro Wednesday to pick the All-Region players.
Kaleigh Fisher, Kathryn Carter, Rachael Smith and Victoria Anthony were selected to the South All-Region Team.
Fisher, Carter and Smith were then selected to the All-Region 3-AAAA First Team.
Anthony made the All-Region Honorable Mention list.
Panther softball coach Jerome Standard said this is the most players from one Lady Panther squad to be selected and honored.
Fisher had an impressive freshman season, recording 27 hits, 11 runs, 17 RBIs, 6 doubles and a triple. She pitched 64.2 innings, finishing the year with an earned run average of 4.11.
Carter, a sophomore, also had solid performances on the mound and at bat. She pitched 74 innings, tossing 71 strikeouts and finished with an earned run average of 2.65. At bat she had 25 hits, 19 runs, 8 RBIs, 4 doubles and 3 triples.
Anthony, a senior, had 21 hits, 10 runs, 12 RBIs and 3 doubles this season. Smith, a sophomore, had 24 hits, scored 18 runs, 5 RBIs with 2 doubles.
