Lady Tide start playoffs today

In only its second year of play, the Long County High School girls’ soccer team will hit the field today to play in the first round of the Class 2-AA state tournament.
The Lady Tide (10-4 overall record) will face on Putnam County (11-5) at 6 p.m. in Eatonton.
The Lady Eagles go into the playoffs hot, having won eight of their last nine games and outscored their opponents, 56-6, in that span
Long County also goes in on fire. The Lady Tide are riding a four-game win streak, during which they have dominated their opponents, 41-0.  
On paper, the game is fairly even, with rating the Lady Tide at No. 55 in the state and the Lady Eagles at No. 67.
