Last month, four athletes from the Liberty County Recreation Department’s Taekwondo team competed in Fort Oglethorpe, at the Winter Battle VII tournament.

Under the guidance of Grand Master Rafael Medina all four competitors medaled at the event. Kiara Edwards earned a gold medal and was awarded a Japanese fighting saber.

Tatiana Kenny and Kai Reid earned silver medals and Damian Lustiano brought home a bronze medal in the event.

This weekend the LCRD Taekwondo team was set to compete in the Festival of Taekwondo being held in Dalton.
