Liberty County High School wrapped up its regular season on Tuesday by sweeping Glynn Academy.
The LCHS boys beat Glynn Academy, 42-32, making them 18-5 overall and 5-5 in Region 2A-AAAA. According to ga.prepcountry.com, the boys are tied for third with Richmond Hill.
A coin toss will determine final seeding as they prepare for the region tournaments, which begin next week at Richmond Hill High School.
The Lady Panthers beat Glynn Academy, 55-41, to improve to 12-7 overall and 7-3 in the region. They are tied with Brunswick for second place.
The Bradwell Tigers split games at Savannah High and will wrap up their season tonight by honoring their senior players. The Bradwell Institute boys suffered a 79-72 loss to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The BI boys are 12-12 overall and 9-8 in Region 3-AAAAA. The Lady Tigers beat Savannah High, 52-48, and are tied for second place in the region with Groves High. The Lady Tigers are 16-8 overall and 12-4 in the region. Lady Tigers coach Faye Baker said her team could clinch second place if Groves loses to Beach High tonight. The tourney starts at Jenkins High School next week.
First Presbyterian Christian Academy lost to Curtis Baptist, 47-30, in the first round of the Georgia Independent School Association’s Region 2-AA girls’ playoffs Tuesday in Lyons.
