The Long County Recreation Department 8-under All-Star Basketball Team recently won its division in the region tournament.
After beating Patterson County in the semifinals, Long County beat Brantley County, 20-14, for the title and a berth in the state tourney March 2-3 in Glennville. 
Members of the team include Jake Cooper, Daniel Edwards, Chandler Howard, Xavier Jones, Tostades Pouncey, Elijah Rosenbaum  and Justin Thomas.  Joey Edwards, Justin Thomas and Larry Baggs are the coaches.
