All was well for the Long County High School teams Thursday as both shut-out their Bryan County foes.
In the early action the Lady Tide got back on the winning track, after dropping two games, by putting a royal thumping on the Lady Redskins, 11-0. In the late game, the boys looked almost as good, beating the Redskins, 6-0.
With the wins, the Long County girls improved their overall record to 7-5 while the boys improved to 5-6. In the 2-AA Region standings, the Lady Tide posts a 5-4 mark. The Blue Tide sits at 3-6.
Both teams are back on the field Tuesday in Atkinson County. When the schools faced each other last month in Ludowici, the Lady Tide won, 10-0, while the Blue Tide lost a heartbreaker 1-0.
Tuesday’s games are in Pearson with the girls starting at 5 p.m., followed by the boys.
