A torrential downpour didn’t stop the 12U and 14U Marauders baseball teams from good showings in the Georgia Games Tournament, which was held May 17-19 in Savannah.
Both teams earned bronze medals after the event after holding only two practices before the tournament.
According to 12U coach Bryon Lairamore, the Marauders first formed as a new Liberty County baseball team last year with their 12U squad.
This year, many players moved into a new age bracket, and Lairamore said he had enough kids come out to form two teams.
The Marauders are getting ready for their next tournament the weekend of July 8 in Brunswick.
