Raekwon McMillan, a star linebacker for Liberty County High School and one of the top recruits in the nation, got a chance to play — and shine — at Chicago’s Soldier Field over the weekend.
According to sports analyst and writer Mike Herndon, McMillan was ranked fourth among the linebackers at the Rivals 100 Five-Star Challenge, based on reports released by rivals.com.
Other news reports released throughout the week indicated that Ohio State still is the front-runner for McMillan’s choice of college, but schools a little closer to Hinesville are closing in.
During the Chicago event, McMillan told rivals.com that Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, Florida and Georgia still are among his top five, although in no particular order.
McMillan, who will be entering his senior season, said he plans to visit Alabama this week and then head to Clemson.
According to ohiostate.rivals.com, the Buckeyes still think they will land the top class of 2014 prospect, who plans to make his fifth visit to Ohio State near the end of the summer.
