The Pierce County Bears remained undefeated in Region 2-AA by beating the Long County Blue Tide, 21-3, on Friday night in Blackshear. The win improved Pierce County to 4-2 overall.
Though the Tide lost the game, dropping to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in 2-AA, the defense played much better than it had in recent weeks. Pierce’s 21 points are the fewest scored on the Blue Tide in a single game this season.
Long County travels to Nahunta on Oct. 14 to take on Brantley County in a region contest.
