Sloppy passes and missed rebounds doomed Bradwell Institute in a 77-55 loss to visiting Groves on Saturday.

The senior-laden Rebels took advantage of Tiger miscues to build a 20-9 first period lead. BI’s Deon Craig helped narrow the gap with a pair of 3-pointers in the second period and the Tigers trailed by eight at halftime.

Bradwell kept the game reasonably close in the third period, trailing 51-40. But Groves outscored the Tigers 26-15 in the final stanza to claim the win.

Craig added two more 3 pointers for the Tigers and finished with a team-high 12 points. Cameron Knight added 10 points for the Tigers, who dropped to 3-16 overall and 3-11 in Region 3-AAAAA. Bradwell was set to visit Windsor Forest on Tuesday and will be at Islands High School on Friday.
