STATESBORO — “Cheerleader for a Day,” which allows girls and boys ages 4-14 to learn cheers and chants from the Georgia Southern cheerleaders, will be Saturday at Paulson Stadium for the Eagles’ game against The Citadel.
The camp begins at Hanner Fieldhouse with check-in at 8:30 a.m., and the instructional sessions starting at 9 a.m. After the camp, the corps of new Eagle cheerleaders will have a snack before going to Paulson Stadium.

Parents should bring the signed wavier form, a towel, sunscreen, hat, T-shirt, shorts, socks and athletics shoes (cheer shoes preferred) for each child participating. Cheerleading outfits and Georgia Southern spirit wear are allowed. The child who displays the most Eagle spirit will win a $25 gift certificate to the university store.
