Region 3A-AAAAA’s first-place Lady Wildcats proved their worth again Thursday afternoon when the Richmond Hill team earned a quick shutout over Bradwell Institute on the Lady Tigers’ field. The 10-3 Wildcats are sporting a 5-1 region mark after beating BI, 17-0, in three innings.
As if being defeated wasn’t bad enough, the Lady Tigers also lost Melissa Gregory, who sustained an injury while making a play.
The girls faced Liberty County High School on Saturday, but results were not available by press time. Bradwell plays at Statesboro High at 5 p.m. Monday.
As of Friday evening, the Lady Tigers held a 3-11 overall record and a Region 3B-AAAAA mark of 2-6.
