Manna House Golf Tournament set
Liberty County Manna House is hosting a golf tournament Saturday at the Cherokee Rose Country Club in Hinesville.
The tournament will be a four-person scramble. Entry fee is $50 per person. Registration and lunch begin at noon, and the shotgun start is at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams.
The mission of Manna House is to feed those who are hungry and clothe those who are in need of clothing and provide assistance to low-income households, the homeless and temporarily unemployed in Liberty County.

Hinesville Hurricanes pre-season meeting
The Hinesville Hurricanes, semi-professional football team will host their annual preseason team and coaches meeting at 11 a.m. Nov. 2, at the Live Oak Church of God, 296 Live Oak Church Road in Hinesville.
This season, the team will participate in the Elite America Football league and begin their season in February 2014.
Potential players ages 18 and older are encouraged to attend the meeting. The upcoming season schedule will feature five home and five away games.
