Black vs. Gold game set for today
Liberty County High School’s spring football practice culminates with its annual Black vs. Gold inter-league scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. today at Donell Woods Stadium. Admission is $3, with proceeds benefiting the Liberty County High School cheerleaders and Liberty County Relay for Life.
Bradwell Institute football scrimmage set for tomorrow
The Bradwell Institute Tiger football team will host their inter-league scrimmage tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Olvey Field. Come out and meet new head coach Greg Hill and the 2014 coacing staff and team.
Relay for Life hoops tournament planned
The Connection Church’s Mission Possible Team is hosting a basketball tournament today-Saturday at the Shuman Recreation Center to benefit Liberty County Relay for Life.
The fee is $150 per team.

Annual Walk-a-Thon to take place Saturday
Seven Ministries of Liberty County has set its Jackie Gilliard-Henderson Memorial Scholarship Walk-a-Thon for Saturday.
Funds raised will provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Liberty County’s public high schools.
Additional funds will support the organization’s other programs, such as its drug-and-alcohol ministry and programs for youths and the elderly.
Participants will meet at 6:30 a.m., and the walk starts at 7. Walkers 21 and older are asked to pay $20; those 16-20 are asked to pay $10. There is no fee for younger children.

Miles for Meals planned for Saturday
The fourth annual Miles for Meals 5K run/walk will start at 8 a.m. Saturday at Daffin Park.
All proceeds will benefit Savannah’s Meals on Wheels program, which provides meals to seniors throughout Coastal Georgia.
Registration is $35 the day of the event.
