Tigers, Tide lose region games

Long County High School fell 38-8 to Appling County on the gridiron Friday night in Ludowici.
With the loss the Tide fell to 0-8 while the Pirates improved to 8-0. 
In Savannah, Bradwell’s football team scored first, but Benedictine scored the rest in a 42-7 win over the Tigers on Friday night at Grayson Stadium.
The Tigers’ lone score came in the first quarter on a 5-yard run from quarterback Myrese Cobb.
The Cadets improve to 4-4 overall and 4-2 in Region 3-AAAAA. Benedictine is currently in third behind Camden and Windsor Forest. BI drops to 1-8 overall and 1-6 in the region. The Tigers play host to Groves next Friday for senior night.
