Seven Ministries of Liberty County has set its Jackie Gilliard-Henderson Memorial Scholarship Walk-a-Thon for May 17.
Funds raised will provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Liberty County’s public high schools. Additional funds will support the organization’s other programs, such as its drug and alcohol ministry and programs for youths and the elderly.
 Participants will meet at 6:30 a.m., and the walk starts at 7. Walkers 21 and older are asked to pay $20; those 16-20 are asked to pay $10. There is no fee for younger children.
