Long County High School cross country freshman Macey Higgason won the Blue Tide Region Preview last week, finishing nearly a minute ahead of her nearest competitor.
Higgason finished with a time of 21:40, 58 seconds ahead of Savannah Country Day senior Sarah Jane Schulze.
Long County freshman Abby Nadeau was eighth with a time of 27:05, finishing one second in front of Calvary Day senior Maddie Sheldon.
St. Vincent’s Academy, with four runners in the top 10, was first in the team standings.
Long County sophomore Isabella Lucas was 17th and sophomore Tamiya Copeland was 20th.
The boys race was rained out.
