The Long County 12U team won the Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s Class C state championship, outslugging Glennville 13-10 in the finale.

The 12U team, which also won the 2nd District tournament, opened the state tournament in Hazlehurst with a 9-0 win over Wheeler County.

Glennville knocked Long County into the loser’s bracket with a 13-9 setback. Long County stayed alive with a 5-2 win over Jeff Davis and beat Glennville 15-8 to force a deciding game.
