Rookie Miami Dolphin Raekwon McMillan, who played high school ball with the Liberty County Panthers, was injured during the first play for his first NFL game Thursday.

Land-Grant Holy Land, an Ohio State Buckeyes online community, is reporting that McMillan tore the ACL on his left knee and could likely miss the rest of the season.

The Miami Sun Sentinel reported that the former Ohio State standout was seen leaving the locker room on crutches after the game.

The newspaper reported that Dolphins coach Adam Gase did not know the severity of McMillan’s injury Thursday night.

The Dolphins beat the Atlanta Falcons, 23-20.

McMillian was drafted by the Dolphins in the second round of this year’s NFL draft. He had been penciled in to start for the Dolphins, despite being in his first year.
