The ninth-grade Coastal Crew Rebels boys’ basketball team went 3-0 at the Elite 32 Showcase last weekend in Marietta.
According to coach Shane Smith, the team was looking to go 4-0, but the last game of the tournament had to be canceled when the facility’s air-conditioning unit stopped working.
To date, the ninth-grade Rebels are 20-4 for the season and are headed to the Peach State Summer Showcase this weekend in Aiken, South Carolina, and Augusta.
