Liberty County fell, 46-12, in the first round of the playoffs Friday at Griffin.
The undefeated host Bears garnered a 14-0 lead in first quarter and, in the second quarter, scored 20 points to the Panthers’ six to go into intermission up, 34-6.
Both defenses held strong in the third quarter, but the Bears tacked on 12 points in the fourth. Liberty managed just one touchdown in the second half.
Liberty finished the year 4-7 overall and 1-3 in Region 3-AAAA. Griffin is 11-0 and 8-0 in Class AAAA.
