The Liberty County Sand Gnats won the 10U Spring Fling for The Ring Tournament championship in the Coastal Georgia Sports Tournament on April 25 in Waycross.

According to Sand Gnats spokesperson Josephine Edwards, the one-day tournament carried into Sunday because of rain.

She added the coaching staff thought their boys held their own against a host of strong competitors.  The Sand Gnats played six games against teams from Southeast Georgia. Edwards said the staff and players also are grateful to the parents who braved the weather and two-day event.
