The sixth annual Joe Watkins Memorial Scholarship Flag Football Tournament has been set for Dec. 17. The tournament raises money for scholarships to graduates of high schools in Liberty County, who played baseball or softball during their high school careers. This year’s winners were Jeremy Scott and Meagan Folker, who graduated from LCHS. The tournament is named for Watkins, an LCHS graduate who was attending Georgia Southern University on a baseball scholarship in 2011 when he died in a car wreck.
