The Liberty County Flea (8-year-olds) All-Star football team was defeated 22-7 Nov. 21 by the Wayne County All-Stars in Waycross in the first round of the Mickey Katkaveck Bowl.

The Fleas also faced Wayne County in the first round of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association District 2 tournament Dec. 1 at the Liberty County Recreation Department field. In the rematch, Liberty led throughout the game, only to see Wayne score a late touchdown to tie the game and then convert the point-after try to win 20-19.

The Liberty Mite (10-year-olds) All-Stars were defeated 15-0 Nov. 21 by Glynn County in the first round. In the first round of the GRPA District 2 tournament, the team traveled Nov. 30 to Douglas, to take on the Coffee County All-Stars and won 19-13 in overtime.

In GRPA second-round action Dec. 5 in Waycross, the Mite All-Stars were eliminated with a 22-0 loss to Savannah.
The Liberty County Midget (11-12-year-olds) All-Star team advanced to the finals of the Mickey Katkaveck Bowl by defeating the Camden County

All-Stars 22-7 Nov. 21.

The Midget All-Stars were defeated 15-0 by Glynn County in the championship game Dec. 5. In GRPA District 2 tournament action, the Midget team defeated Wayne County 16-14 Dec. 1 at the LCRD football field.

In semifinal action Dec. 5 in Waycross, the team faced Chatham County and trailed 7-0 at the half and eventually was defeated 26-0.
