Tide soccer teams pick up wins over Bryan Co.

Long County’s boys and girls soccer teams both notched Region 2-AA wins March 8 over Bryan County.
Playing in Ludowici, both squads won with identical scores, 7-1.

The Blue Tide remained undefeated, posting an 8-0 overall record and a 6-0 region mark. The boys are ranked as the No. 3 AA team in the state, according to Eurosportscoreboard.com.

The Lady Tide improved their record to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the region. They are ranked No. 7 in the same poll.
Tuesday, the Tide were playing Bacon County in Alma. The scores were not available by press time. On March 22, Long County is back home against Groves in more region action. The Rebels have a 7-1 record.

The Lady Rebels are sitting at 2-5. The girls begin at 5 p.m. The boys are scheduled to follow at 7. Coaches comments were requested for the Bryan County games, but were not available at press time.
