Church convention honors local man

Lamar Tillman of Hinesville received the State Layman of the Year Award for 2010 at a recent convention of the General Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta. Tillman is the president of his district, which includes 13 counties. He received the award in November from the General Missionary Baptist Laymen’s Ministry.
