Tom and Frances Smith are celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 21.
They were married on July 21, 1946 at the First Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, Ga.
After marriage, they went on to finish college at the Georgia Teacher's College, now Georgia Southern University, and then taught in the public school system and on Fort Stewart for many years.
They have been members of the First Baptist Church in Hinesville for over 60 years.
Early this year, they celebrated with a cruise to Key West and the Bahamas and are planning another cruise for later this year.
The couple's children, John Smith and Jan Hayes, and grandchildren, Katherine and Ashley Hayes and Justin and Andrea Smith, join them in celebrating their anniversary.
They also have two great grandchildren, Dylan and Gavin Smith.
