Akash-ka Malaya Jones was born on Sept. 24 to Dorcas Veronica McCoin and Jeffrey Bernard Jones of Hinesville. She was born at Liberty Regional Medical Center and weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 18 inches. Her maternal grandmother is Audrey Ray of Clarksville, Tenn. Her paternal grandmother is Mary S. Jones of Grenada, Miss. She is welcomed by her sisters, Shalyn McCoin, Breonna McCoin and Nastajassa House.
